1. Acceptance of these terms
By uploading an image to ThumbRoasty or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What ThumbRoasty does
ThumbRoasty accepts an image you upload (typically a YouTube thumbnail) and an optional video title, sends them to a third-party AI model, and returns an AI-generated critique — a score, a written "roast," and suggestions. The service is provided free of charge, subject to a daily usage limit per visitor.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ThumbRoasty. If you are under the age required by your country's laws to consent to use of online services without parental approval, you may only use ThumbRoasty with a parent or guardian's involvement.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to upload images that are illegal, that you don't have the right to use, or that depict minors in an inappropriate context. You agree not to attempt to circumvent the daily rate limit through automation, scripting, VPN/proxy cycling, or any other method designed to extract usage beyond what's offered to a normal visitor. We reserve the right to block access for anyone abusing the service.
5. Your content
You retain full ownership of any image you upload. By uploading an image, you grant ThumbRoasty a limited, temporary license to transmit that image to our AI provider solely to generate your roast. We do not claim ownership of your thumbnails, and we do not store your uploaded images on our own servers after your request completes — see our Privacy Policy for the specifics of what is and isn't retained.
6. AI-generated content is not professional advice
The score, critique, and suggestions ThumbRoasty generates are produced by an AI model for entertainment and general informational purposes. They are opinions, not guarantees — a high score is not a promise of view performance, and a low score is not a definitive verdict on your design. Treat ThumbRoasty as a fun second opinion, not a substitute for your own judgment or professional design consulting.
7. Usage limits
The free tier is currently limited to a set number of roasts per day per visitor, enforced automatically. This limit exists to keep the service free and available to everyone, and may change without notice.
8. Third-party services
ThumbRoasty relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including an AI provider to analyze images and a database provider to enforce rate limits. Your use of ThumbRoasty is also subject to the availability and acceptable-use policies of those providers. We are not responsible for outages or errors originating from third-party services outside our control.
9. No warranty
ThumbRoasty is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI's output will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any particular purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ThumbRoasty and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use of ThumbRoasty after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
